FUNNY STUFF

HAVE TO TELL YOU A COUPLE FUNNY THINGS THAT HAPPENED THAT JUST CRACKED ME UP.

IN RELIEF SOCIETY AT CHURCH ONE SUNDAY AFTERNOON SOME TIME AGO THAT  CRACKED DONNA AND I UP!  FAITH  A FRIEND  AT CHURCH WAS SETTING THERE AND I THINK  THE TEACHER MUST HAVE BEEN LOOKING IN HER DIRECTION WHEN SAYING SOMETHING AND FAITH JUST KINDA BLURED OUT LOUDLY IN HER FUNNY LOUD VOICE " YOU TALKING TO ME"  I  COULD HARDLY HOLD MY LAUGH IN.

WE NEARLY DIED LAUGHING.  IT WAS THE  FUNNEST  THING I EVER HEARD SAID IN  A CLASS AT CHURCH. 😊HAHA!  YOU WOULD HAVE HAD TO BEEN THERE TO SEE IT.

Another funny thing that cracked me and Donna up was the time  we went into a card shop and saw

this card  that said " When you die can I have your stuff!!😄I think we have never laughed so hard as we did that day unless it was hearing Faith the lady say what she did in our classroom.

TRIALS

SO WHY DO WE HAVE TRIALS?   I HAVE ASK MYSELF THIS SO VERY MANY MANY TIMES AND STILL THINK AND H AVE  SAID MANY TIMES.....
                   WHY ME??
I have done nothing to deserve this....have had this thought so many times....
..I have felt that my test are too big and not at all fair. I fall back into self pity and then i see children that can't do much of anything and i keep looking at people around me who have one thing or another wrong with them and will never know what a normal life is like.  All will be tested and it will test our faith as well.   These test hurt and are inevitable and unexpected , they test us for sure and that test will refine our character , our perseverance and yes we will have pain and grief  and say why me!!!  All the stuff we go   through will make or break us.  We can take it and either get hard  or maybe soft towards life
and people.  So think about where you stand today with all your trials, do you still love life , love people, and most of all do you still feel life is good or has it made you hard or has it made you more humble?   You are not alone they say but when its hard and you feel that the only one you can talk to is God, do it! Hopefully we all can find peace... And one day we will get our answer to that very big question.....WHY ME?

FOR EVER YOUNG

WISH I COULD PUT ALL  YOUR PICTURES HERE BUT FOUND THESE CUTE PHOTOS........

MY KIDS PICTURE HERE.....

Was listening to Dad playing this song and  this it is my hope for my kids as they grow and make choices in this life!

                                                   " FOREVER YOUNG"

May God bless and keep you always,
May your wishes all come true,
May you always do for others
And let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May you grow up to be righteous,
May you grow up to be true,
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you.
May you always be courageous,
Stand upright and be strong,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May your hands always be busy,
May your feet always be swift,
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift.
May your heart always be joyful,
May your song always be sung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

FASTING

THE OTHER NIGHT DONNA AND I  WERE TALKING ABOUT WHAT FASTING CAN DO.  I HAD  REMEMBERED THAT ANGIE SOMETIME AFTER SHE WAS BORN HAD A BIRTHMARK ON HER RIGHT CHEEK AND I ASK THE DR. ABOUT IT, HE TOLD ME  IT WOULD GET AS BIG AS A HALF DOLLAR COIN.... I CRIED BECAUSE I HAD GROWN UP WITH A SCAR UNDER MY RIGHT EYE AND HATED LOOKING LIKE THAT AND BEING MADE FUN OF WHEN YOUNGER AT SCHOOL. ANYWAY I DECIDED I WOULD FAST AND NOT EAT FOR AS LONG  AS IT TOOK  FOR GOD TO HEAR AND ANSWER MY PRAYER. I FASTED THREE DAYS AND FINALLY DECIDED  TO STOP AND HOPE THAT WOULD DO IT!  WELL IT WORKED AND TODAY SHE HAS NO BIRTHMARK.  YES,  HE HEARD MY PLEAD.  I AM  THANKFUL AND I KNOW THAT HE DOES ANSWER IF WE ARE WILLING TO DO OUR PART.  💖

                                           PICTURE OF ANGIE TODAY!

POEM OF SPARROW

HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW!

His Eye Is on the Sparrow (Original Lyrics)

Verse 1
Why should I feel discouraged?
Why should the shadows come?
Why should my heart be lonely,
And long for heaven and home?
When Jesus is my portion,
My constant friend is He;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.
Chorus
I sing because I'm happy,
I sing because I'm free,
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.

LOVE TO TESTIFY

MOVIE " SOUTHERN GOSPLE "

Key Lyrics from "Somebody Oughta Testify"
Somebody oughta testify
Oh, somebody oughta testify
Said for God, I live, for God, I die

Serving you (Serving you)

Praising you (Praising you)

Trusting you (Trusting you)

Loving you (Loving you)

"Somebody Oughta Testify"
Lyrics
I'm looking for someone, for anyone
Who can stand up and tell what the Lord has done for THEM
Has He been faithful? Has He been merciful?
Come on now, I want someone to rise up and testify
    • I've got to tell someone
What a mighty thing that my Lord has done
His love has changed my life
I've got to stand and testify
I want to make it known
Can't believe the mercy that I've been shown
      Got joy and hope inside
I've got to stand and testify
Grace came to me and my soul is compelled
I've got such good news that I just can't keep to myself
      I've got to tell someone
What a mighty thing that my Lord has done
His love has changed my life
I've got to stand and testify
I want to make it known
Can't believe the mercy that I've been shown
      Got joy and hope inside
I've got to stand and testify

Took away my guilt and sin (testify, testify)
Gave me peace and joy within (testify, testify)
Oh, I'm forgiven for everything that I've done wrong (I'm forgiven for - I've done wrong)
And if it's true for you, get on your feet and sing along, YES
What a mighty thing that my Lord has done)
His Love has changed my life
I've got to stand and testify (wanna testify)
I want to make it known (want to make it known)
Can't believe the mercy that I've been shown
      Got joy and hope inside
I've got to stand and testify (come on and testify)

    • I've got to tell someone
    • THIS SONG FOCUSES on being forgiven, having joy, and needing to tell someone what the Lord has done.

memories

Things the kids did when  younger....

Val was bouncing a basketball in family room and sent the ball into Dad's TV that he had bought from a employee at Repco  for $75 dollars.

Angie was playing around in playhouse and pushed Russell out the window where there was

a fence below and he could have been seriously hurt. Scary!

The kids played down in a big underground sewer and I thought when told ,
"not my kids." ugh!

Dad put up a transparent drawing of Batman & Robin, Wonder Woman  on our family room wall  and he brew them up Big and let the kids paint them.  It was the coolest!!  wonder if he has a picture of it?

Games kids played when we were young :

Handy Over

Mother may I

SOFTBALL

JACKS

HIDE AND SEEK

RED ROVER RED ROVER ,SEND (NAME THE CHILD)......RIGHT OVER

...THEY RUN AND TRY TO BRAKE THROUGH THE LINE

Sayings of old

                                                               Turn over a new lease

Wait for the dust to settle

Make hay while the sun shines

                                                         That's out of the ordinary

                                                         Your walking on thin ice

                                                          That will  break the Bank

My sister Sarah

 Sarah is not well! 😞

She has been in hospital for several days and they didn't know if she was going to make it. She has fluid taken from around her heart, it was a very scary thing,  she came out of surgery but she still is in critical condition.  Donna went to Indiana to be with her , I would have went but our Jenny came  home from California .  Its been too long since I have seen her  and now so wonderful to have her here.  I will keep Sarah in my prayers and hope she can be with us a little longer!  Sarah is 87.

A Weird Day

A funny thing but weird happened when I went to get my  drivers license renewed.  I set down in a chair next to this old man perhaps a bit younger than me and I ask the man if he has been waiting very  long, and he said not too long and told me his # and that I was right after  him.   Then he commenced talking to me and before I knew it he ask me if I would go have lunch with him afterwards and I said no I couldn't do that.  He then said  I was very sweet and could I come visit him and told me where he lived and again I said no.. I said I was married , but he still wanted me to come visit him. He even ask me then if he could kiss me, and again I said nope.  Lucky for me they called his # and before he left he again told me how sweet I was and gave me a kiss on the cheek. It all was so weird!  Never had that happen before. Totally new experience for me. I was careful to leave after he pulled away in his big red truck.  This happened cause I just ask the question how long he had been waiting.  All this because of a few kind words. Wow crazy!😯

ALL IN THE SAME BOAT

 Same Boat

Yes we are all in the same boat!

We're all in the same boat
Fishing in the same hole
Wondering where the time goes
We're all in the same boat
We all believe what we believe
And peacefully agree to disagree
But you can't judge a man
Until you walk a country mile in his shoes
We're all in the same boat
Fishing in the same hole
Wondering where the time goes
And the money too
Trying to fix the same broken hearts
Wishing on the same stars
We're hoping hope floats
For we're all in the same boat
We all been kicked around
But it ain't gonna keep a good man down
and you can run from some mistakes
But you can't hide,,, so
We're all in the same boat
Fishing in the same hole
Wondering where the time goes
And money too
Trying to fix the same broken hearts
Wishing on the same stars
and we're all just hoping... for
We're all in the same boat
Share them peaches, that you're holding
Give that love and just keep on going
If you can't be nice
Don't say nothing at all.....
So help somebody who might be struggling
Spread a little love,  give back something
And if the ship keeps rocking then
We'll all go overboard.....
We're all in the same boat
Fishing in the same hole
Wondering where the time goes
And money too
Trying to fix the same broken hearts
Wishing on the same stars
We're all hoping time floats
And we're all in the same boat
Yeah, we're all hoping cause
We're all in the same boat

YES WE ARE ALL IN THE SAME BOAT
