Frankie

Celebrated my sister Frankie's 96th Birthday this pass March and I am late with this post. It was at the Olive Garden with her two daughters Jeanie and Carol,her son Mike and two grandaughters and a grandson. Donna, my brother Bump and I were also invited. Sure missed my brother Joe but think his traveling days are over.
 HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRANKIE....YOU ARE AMAZING!!

Jen works from Home

Here is Jen ....Since virus has hit us Jen is loving not waking up early.  She does wake up and is at the computer at 7:30 ready to work.  Stays there till noon and takes her hour break and then back on computer till 4:30.   Proud of you Jen.  She loves not getting all dressed up early in morning and can even rest on her bed at lunch. ha. 😊 YAY!

Harley

        Donna's husband Harley is home after week in hospital and has been told his days are numbered and so he made the decision to die at home. So he was brought home and has decided no more dialysis and is ready to pass on to the other side.  He is on his sixth day at home and they have him in front room so they can get around his bed to make him as comfortable as they can.   Donna has her boys home helping out as much as they can and Shawn her daughter in law taking place of hospice for she has worked in a facility that does that kind of thing.  Harley seems to be hanging in but it won't be much longer. They are giving him morhpine every few hours for pain and he is sleeping for most the time.
Know it can't be easy on Donna but actually she is doing quite well and has been prepared for this for quite sometime.  Donna wanted to grant his wish to pass at home. She is the most spiritual person I know having such a strong faith and testimony of our Savior and what is to come in the life here after.  I hope one day to write in this blog all her spiritual experiences for she has had many.  It will make you stop and think for sure.  It really blows me away!  Will add picture of Harley here soon.

Coronavirus

I am not sure how it came to be
but it sure is taking a toll on me cause i love being out and about!
I am trying to be good but with Jen fussing at me cause I am not following all the rules I am getting  a little antsy.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new virus.

The disease causes respiratory illness (like the flu) with symptoms such as a cough, fever, and in more severe cases, difficulty breathing. You can protect yourself by washing your hands frequently, avoiding touching your face, and avoiding close contact with others (6 feet apart) and wear mask.

How it spreads

Coronavirus disease spreads primarily through contact with an infected person when they cough or sneeze. It also spreads when a person touches a surface or object that has the virus on it, then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth.

 

We are told to not go out and stay home and only go out if necessary for I reckon food or such.😭😩   this has been going on for sometime now and its starting to bother me. ugh!This is the future wear.Ugh!

Two Cat Ladies

   Today this lady stopped at my house and said do I know a Linda on this block and I said no and she said she lives on this block and its about a cat that she had.   Told her only ladies I know who have lots of cats are down the street and live across from each other and they have several cats a piece.  I pointed out the house and when she left she stopped at wrong house so I said I will take you so we walked there together and she started telling me about the cat she found and it was always at her house and even would sleep there so she claimed it and had everything done for it chipped , shots, exam,  and had her phone # put on his tag even.  The owner saw this tag on her cat and gave the lady a call and ask " why does my cat have your # on him."  So they decided to meet!
We found her house and the rest gets crazy!!   At first they were ok meeting and then they started to get upset with each other.  I really don't know how it ended for just when it started to heat up I said I was leaving  and hope they could work it out. YIKES!  Update!  They finally decided to let the cat roam between both homes. Case settled!

Anne with a E

        Don't know how many of you have watched this show on Netfix but its doesn't matter. You will be in for a treat if you watch Anne of Green Gables!  I love it and all the Quotes that are said in it just blows my mind.  Do yourself a favor and give the first season a try, you will be so glad you did. This is one of my best quotes that Anne says when Marilla ask her to say her night prayer. It was great!

Christmas 2019

                       

                  For some reason it was a hard time getting Christmas together this year.  With the help of my daughter Jenny we were able to get gifts for 15 grandchildren.
 Not to forget the real reason for the celebration!

Thanksgiving 2019

           Thoroughly enjoyed a quiet day at home and didn't even do a lot of cooking or baking.  Some of my kids live far away , some were out of town and some were with their own parents so it was kinda nice not to have to rush around and do too much.
           Dad , Jen and I just totally relaxed and enjoyed a quiet day and watched a movie. 
I had Todd's boys for three days just before Thanksgiving so yes it was nice to just chill, although I did put up a few Christmas decorations!

Santa's Farm

    Today Jen and I got up and left the house at 10 A.M. to meet Kristen and Zack at Santa's Farm.
Beautiful morning for it with even a little breeze.  I have posted some pictures here of our outing and must say its a great place to take your kiddos.

Trip to Indiana

              This was a really fast trip to our old home town and a super great one like  Vincennes, Ind.
We filled every single day with fun during our trip and visiting family and friends and it was wonderful!! 
             Took us back to our beginning/ our youth and school reunion.  Vincennes really does a great job putting on a school reunion like no other place I know.  Even Bump thinks so.   Joe my brother knows everyone there I think. ha!
             Have to put a word in here and say that my brother Bump is the best driver ever!!  He was calm and relaxed at the wheel but also very aware of traffic around him / made it a enjoyable trip!
             While at Vincennes we drove all over the place and reminisced  about how it was way back when. We remember the street in our neighborhood looked so big to us and now it seemed so small, thinking about it i guess being kids it seemed that way and now as adults we go Wow this neighborhood and street look sooo small. Funny how our prospective changes as we get older.
