We grew up poor, depression time and some people were ok and others like us were not.
You weren't given the attention of going to dentist when it was necessary so you lived with what happeded to you and not given much of anything but the necessitives. I remember being in so much pain before they pulled my tooth out. It was that way with most all the kids except Frankie and Donna . Donna married young left home and got a job with a dentist and Frankie married a fairly rich guy who later got richer. The rest of us no luck! We were never taught to brush teeth or get check ups or any of that kind of thing. Many nights I went to my mothers bed crying because of toothache. Well one day my face was so swollen up and they rushed me to a dentist finally. too late! The lady was new and didn't know what to do. She pulled the tooth and it sent poison into my face and they had to take me to a hospital , they cut my face open and I carried that scare with me the rest of my life!! Teenage years were plain awful! I was made fun of and said who gave you the blackeye and they would laugh. I wanted to be pretty like the other girls and my sisters. I only remember being in the hospital and I must have been pretty young, I remember I was in a crib of some kind.
Having friends was hard! A girl named Joann was the only one I can remember who became a good friend even with my imperfections.. School was no fun for me. I actually hated it!! I wait for the Lord to give me some answers. ....Like, Why Me??
