A CONVERSION STORY

At our Ward Conference one of the sisters talked and told us her conversion story. It touched my heart so much that I just had to share it. She started out telling how she and her husband had met and how they both thought it time to find a church to attend since they wanted children and wanted to bring them up in the Lord. She said they started out going to this church and that searching for the one that had answers to their questions. they all had some good but they couldn't answer her questions. In fact her preacher said we hold no hope for a forever family. They eventually settled for a church that was just a block from their home. Well every week the preacher said Sister Nance are you ready to be baptised and she responded not quite yet. This went on for several months and the preacher kept reminding her that she really needed to get baptised. So after going home from church one Sunday with what the preacher had said she called him and said guess I'm ready as I'll ever be! He was happy and said lets get it done tomorrow around noon. She agreed. Monday morning she got up , did chores around the house as usual and feeling a heavy heart got down on her knees right in her living room and never having said a prayer before said ," Lord I am lost and don't know which or where I am to go. If I am to know you will have to show me." A very simple prayer. She said she got up and just as time drew near for her appo. at the church, the doorbell rang and two young men said they had a message to share with her. She welcomed them in. Yes, it was our Mormon missionaries and she said what they had told her was like nothing she had heard before and they had more to share. She felt and knew they had come at that very moment in answer to her prayer. I never made it to that appo. she said for my baptism with the minister. After missionaries left she called her preacher and said I won't be keeping the appo. , in fact, I won't be coming back at all. her story touched my heart soooo much and yes a few tears flowed, she said those missionaries had the answers to her questions she had long wondered about.
She was sincere as she spoke of her conversion and I felt it and know it was sincere and that His influence can and will be felt by anyone who is seeking for truth. Many members have had personal experiences that wistness the church is true. Myself included. mamashap

If Christ were on the earth today, He would operate and set up His church just as you see it today. Just as it was in the beginning!
