The clock of life is wound but once and no man has the power ..... to tell just when the hands will stop at late or early hour. Now is the only time we own, live, love, toil , and do good to others
Place no faith in tomorrow for the clock may then be still!
Guess we need to enjoy the here and now for none of us can really say what tomorrow will bring!
I love all of you and may your days be long upon this earth!!
About the church....It will go forward in these last days, numbers may be few but the church will be all over the face of the whole earth and its temples . As for all good things they may fad away because of evil... but there will always be those who will follow the Savior and try to keep his ways and teachings. His teachings are simple but often not found easy for some. Its really all about choices....good or bad.... right or wrong we have to pick. Its not so hard to understand really but its what we have to do to be ready to meet our Savior when we leave this earth or if we are here when he returns!!

Is that for you and me , who are growing old....
It is better t I o say "I'm fine" with a grin,Than to let people know the shape we are in.

Today I write on the subject of time
and think about just how much time do I have left?
I am thinking this is the winding down years of dad and mine and its sad that we don't have all our children near so could spend time with them and the grandchildren. Now you may be reading this after we have passed on so you may not realize how important the gift of time is until its near over. We don't give much thought to TIME but always wanting so much more of it!! Just read these thoughts
Time
Time is a precious gift and how we spend it is up to you and me. Some of our time is cut short leaving others to hurt while others our filled to the very top. We know no time limit .....we are in the dark as to how we will spend it....or when our time will run out....as with a bank account we know and see the amount spent and what we have left ... thus we plan our expenditures and able to save for that rainy day in effect.
With life there is no way to know what is left .....Some would say thats good, others not so sure. We have been lucky thus far with theh Time God so generously gives us....when young you may have felt you wasted some time but now older you want to spend it wisely.
We all spend our days different, we have bedtime, summertime' worktime, traveltimes , funtimes and on and on .
Thank you for spending some of your precious gift of time reading my blog....💓

Lesson in church today was one that everyone needs to hear.
It was all about being distracted by all that goes on in the world.
It really does happen! So try to focus on the good as much as you can.
Life will always have stuff out there that fight for our attention,
The thing is to focus on all that is good.... there will always be good and bad pulling to get our attention! Stay focused!!
I call us that because on our trip to Indiana we felt that way, ha! Going down Pennyrail Parkway it felt like a new way and we felt we were in the Twilight Zone...,it was so dark and such a long road. Yikes! But we were laughing. After making this trip we were so tired and finally got to Vincennes and the first place we stopped at they had one bed and it was 200 dollars so we decided to look farther. another was full. So we went to different area but the location was hard to get to and we made a couple turns and then saw a red light behind us. The Officer was very nice and we told him we had just got here and was looking for a hotel and he said you ladies don't want to stay there cause we been called there alot over problems but across street is a better one he said. He said follow me and we said thanks and he took us across street to nicer place. He left us and Donna went inside and they said they were full. Uge! So we ask the boy if we could just park in the parking lot and get some shut eye, he said sure and even gave us a extra pillow cause I bought mine but Donna needed one. We slept in car and when woke Donna went back inside to use the bathroom and he said breakfast was over and we could help ourselves to what was left in containers cause they just throw it away anyway. He was sooo sweet and had a nice smile and so after we ate we headed over to Joe's . Details of trip ......
Thurs. left home at 7:30am
Friday stopped to visit a friend of Donna's
Got into Vin. ....slept in car
Woke up went to Joe ...rested up and later in evening Joe took us out to our favorite pizza place...Bod's
Sat. went to Dollar Tree for cleaning supplies for our yearly cleaning at Joe's , And we hit our favorite thrift store there.
Back to Joe's and later to Wendy's for supper
Sunday .....church and talked with cousin Richard Rodgers....both Donna and I gave our testimonies
Back to Joe's where we changed clothes and went out to Roscoe's
After visiting Roscoe we went t o see Sarah in Sullivan Ind. and spent night there.
Monday we went to Parade and to see fireworks that evening .... took Joe with us and after took and went back to Sarah's
Tues. Visited Olive in Washington Ind. and after made a visit to Ozeta and later another thrift store ha!
Wed. we with with Kim , Sarah's daughter to a couple stores in Sullivan....
Supper that evening with Kenny and Penny .....He cooks and it was sooo good!!!
Richard Rodgers came by that evening to talk to Donna about a gun that Harley gave him
Thurs. back to Joe's and got up early next day to head home.

This is Dad...he told me he is a problem solver.....and most all his life he has been a problem solver. As far back as I can remember most all the jobs he ever had required that he find the problem and fix it!!. That was dad!
It really has come in handy for the most part, repairing things around the house without having to call a repair man . But once in awhile it gets to be too much and he had to hire someone else but hardly ever! More than not I would think , you got this Joey!ha!

Ok I never heard of this lady before until I picked up her book at a thrift store I believe and this book just took me back to the early 60's when life was so different then. Back when I was young and was a newly bride. I just had to blog some of what she said and wrote. This lady is not a beauty queen by far but a out spoken lady much like Jean Clark who Bump and I spent much time at her home. Back when we were kids Bump and I spent much of our childhood listening to Jean Clarks jokes and her making us laugh when we didn't actually have much to laugh about back then. This lady said " I loved playing house as a young girl, I think I learned how to be a housewife from those early days " I sure can relate to that myself.
Her horoscope is Cancer as is mine...she says we are the ultimate nesters,we look at a room and think of all the possibilities we can do with it...She talks of the fun she had at her Aunt and Uncles home while Bump and I remember the fun we had out at my brother Roscoe's place, vines to swing on and games to play , hide and seek in the corn field , just great times! I really love all the fun that Bump and I had .....its my best memories. We raised ourselves she says in the book and so did Bump and I , ...today we have a closeness.
Her father told her ( keep your nose to the grindstone ,work very hard, struggle and you'll be a success.)
...Our dad , well not sure any of us kids looked up to him. Dad was not one to help you feel good..... only said if having a hard time, use your noggin and would tap me on the head....I hated that! This lady talks about the importance of having friends, I believe in those days it was great to have girlfriends .....she joined a women's club, learned to play bridge and they talked about everything and laughed out loud and would interrupt each other laughing while having a good time.....me and my friend Betty pretty much did same thing and wow did we ever have so much fun together!

For sure this took me back as I read the book. Much like this lady we were little housewives who stayed home with the children ....life was good then and I remember Betty my friend and I getting together after the guys left for work and having fun going to parks with kids , cooking together and watching "As the World Turns" it was all such fun! Yes, its true while we are living each day and making plans for tomorrow our lives can change in a instant without a warning as this happened to this lady Jeanne!! Few years later my friend Betty's husband died... He was not very old, Betty went on to marry again. Life can change ....we really never know what tomorrow will bring.

I hear this loud chirping and go into my bedroom and Dew has this bird in his mouth and i say NO DEW and he dropped it and had it cornered in the closet . I threw a cover around the bird and picked it up. Didn't know what to do with it. Mama bird wasn't around making noise or looking for her lost baby.
Didn't want cats to kill it so kept it over night in box with holes so it could breath then next morning I took it to Trout Lake and ask lady if she would take it and she said put it back in a bush at your place but I said can't cause the cat would kill it, being it can't fly. Well she finally said ok and took pity on me and said ok I will take it . Sooo relieved and told her it was likely hungry cause had it all evening. Be happy little guy and sorry if you miss your mama.😟Dew
Would you believe this after all these years Donna got a new home. And who would guess its right next door to me. 😊
She has a garage for first time ever, a dishwasher, a pool and who could ask for anything more!!

Was heading out to go shopping and stopped to get gas for car....this never happened before....as I started to pump gas it came out and soaked me good. I had other errands to run so went on to Walmart, everyone that walked pass me said I smell gasoline....told them not to worry its me and was on my clothes.
Such a crazy day!!

😘 A sad day this was for me...Jen left Eustis to go back to San Diego. She was offered a job after interviewing for it and got it! When car people came to take her car cause she chose to fly I kind of lost it! She had been thinking of leaving cause not many people here she knew and guess in away I wanted her to go to be with friends and be happy and those younger than her dad and I. I kind of felt there was nothing here for her. Mostly old people not much of anyone her own age. I didn't want her to see two old people getting older everyday. I literally cryed for two days after she left cause missed her sooo much!! 😭
We did alot together, worked puzzles , shopped together, cleaned up around here, listened to music as dad would play some great songs for us and with her laughing at me trying to sing my heart out but not hitting all the right notes! ha!🎜🎝🎝🎝
