My retirement gift from Angie

Donna and I both got some wear from this pretty pink bike that Angie got me a few years back as a retirement gift and I was really excited and really enjoyed it for many years!   I rode it for along time and then Donna took and rode it.  Then she finally got herself a new bike. Anyway after a few more years of enjoyment and getting older we both decided it was time for us to get one that was a better fit because it was a little hard for both of us getting off and on the pink bike. Certainly enjoyed it for a few years then I eventually sold it.
Two old ladies here and its a wonder we didn't brake our necks but thank
you Angie for the fun rides and enjoyment we had on this pink beauty!

Plo has won my heart!

Plo has won my heart!! He loves to join me when I work a puzzle. He will get right on top of it and I just move and work around him in another area.  He will also jump in the dryer when I open the door.

I wanted a yellow blossom tree so dad planted this for me some time back. Its in our back yard so no one sees it but as I set and work my puzzles I can look out my Big Window and admire how lovely it is!  Thank you Joey...it makes me happy!!
OUR BEAUTIFUL YELLOW TABEBUIA TREE  this was taken awhile back and now its more beautiful than ever before and fuller!

Crazy About Puzzles!

So Jen and I just finished this maga puzzle....1500 to be exact.  Wow! it was a tough one but lots of fun.  As always we think one or two pieces are missing but then they are usually found in a near by basket or on the floor. I was getting upset on this one because we had worked so very hard and just when we thought are pieces were lost, I found them! ha.

THE LITTLE BROWN CHURCH IN THE DELL

There’s a church in the valley by the wildwood, No lovelier spot in the dale; No place is so dear to my childhood, As the little brown church in the vale. -Church in the Wildwood Words & Music: William S. Pitts, 1857 facebook.com/GospelHymnsWent to see Brian's new house near Tampa and he took us to  Clearwater.  We went to old area called Heritage Village and  what was funny we saw this little church and this song popped into my head that had heard long time ago and I started singing it and Donna chimed in. ha. so funny!  she remembered it too! ha.

Here are the lyrics:

There's a church in the valley by the wildwood
No lovelier spot in the dell
No place is so dear to my childhood
As the little brown church in the dell.

(Oh, come, come, come, come)
Come to the church by the wildwood
Oh, come to the church in the dell
No spot is so dear to my childhood
As the little brown church in the dell.

How sweet on a clear Sabbath morning
To listen to the clear ringing bells
Its tones so sweetly are calling
Oh come to the church in the dell.

(Oh, come, come, come, come)
Come to the church by the wildwood
Oh, come to the church in the dell.
No spot is so dear to my childhood
As the little brown church in the dell.

There, close by the church in the valley
Lies the one that I loved so well
She sleeps, sweetly sleeps, 'neath the willow
Disturb not her rest in the dell.

(Oh, come, come, come, come)
Come to the church by the wildwood
Oh, come to the church in the dell
No spot is so dear to my childhood
As the little brown church in the dell

There, close by the side of that loved one
'Neath the tree where the wild flowers bloom
When farewell hymns shall be chanted
I shall rest by her side in the tomb.

(Oh, come, come, come, come)
Come to the church by the wildwood
Oh, come to the church in the dell
No spot is so dear to my childhood
As the little brown church in the dell...
