The Sparrow

 The Primary talked about this
.... so sweet I had to blog it!

Why should I feel discouraged
Why should the shadows come
Why should my heart feel lonely
And long for heaven and home

When Jesus is my portion
A constant friend is he
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know he watches over me
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know he watches me

Thought this article very good/ goes along with poem and his being aware of us all!
There is scarcely any sin of which Jesus will not forgive.  But he warns us of being distracted by the things of this life! This often insnares the poor as much as the love of wealth does for the rich. But there is a carefulness about these temporal things that lure us . He tells us to take no thought for your life, nor about the length of it; but refer to God to lengthen or shorten it as he pleases; our time here is in his hand. Nor are we to worry about the comforts of this life; but leave it to God, bitter or sweet. Food and raiment God has promised, therefore we may expect them. Take no thought for tomorrow, for the time to come nor be not anxious for the future or how you shall live next year, or when you are old, or what you shall leave behind you. As we must not boast of tomorrow,  or the events of it. God has given us life, and has given us our body. And what can he not do for us, who did all that?
His eye is on the sparrow,  and also on you, He cares about you!

Love My Boys!

Can sure see the Shappard's in these two.  They look nothing like the Todd's side.  They are fine men and have grown up to be responsible adults, good husbands and good workers.   Dad and I are very proud and feel very blessed!

Poodle skirts I made the girls!

                                         Aren't they the cutest!

Here Is Plo

My Jenny needed a companion and so this cute little guy was up for adoption.
Jen said he seemed so sweet!
Well Jen now describes him as the cat from" Hell!"  ha.  Acturally he is still a baby and thinking not quite a year old yet.
So you might be asking yourself where in the world did she get his name? Seems that when her nephew Scoutie was tiny he would babble alot and it sounded like Plo alot so anyway thats where it came from.
As the story goes, Plo is home alone all day while Jen works and by the time she gets home he is ready for action!  Lately when she has gotten home from work she has found her pillow on the floor in the bathroom and his teeth marks all over it. Jen said she doesn't know how but he drags it off her bed to the bathroom floor. I told her he misses her and it has her scent on it. Sweet!   Another caper is he jumps on the wall and puts his claws into the wall coming down. She says he jumps into sink , up on the top of refri and all over.  He wakes her a couple times in middle of night and comes to her door at 5:30 AM every morning wanting her to wake up.   She trys letting him into the room but he won't let her sleep. ugh.  Sorry Jen!  I tell her he needs a companion but she said NO WAY!  I think as he gets older he may mellow out but then who knows.  Perhaps he really should be a outside cat , think maybe, but I hear they don't live as long. I do think a companion for Plo is the answer. Good luck Jenny!
Stay tuned for more on Plo and his capers! :)   O, Jen did say when he is asleep and done with his capers he is sooo sweet!haha!   Yap, she loves him!

There is Hope!

Like a picked flower cut from the source, we gradually wilt physically and mentally and become vulnerable to a host of degenerative diseases that we simply weren't susceptible to in our early adult years/ but even so , life is still good and today is the day and the season for you to bloom where you are planted!

  Ecclesiastes 3

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

President Thomas S. Monson, prophet and president of The Church of Jesus Christ, said this:

We laugh, we cry, we work, we play, we love, we live. And then we die. Death is our universal heritage. All must pass its portals. Death claims the aged, the weary and worn. It visits the youth in the bloom of hope and the glory of expectation. Nor are little children kept beyond its grasp. In the words of the Apostle Paul, “It is appointed unto men once to die” (Hebrews 9:27). And dead we would remain but for one Man and His mission, even Jesus of Nazareth. Born in a stable, cradled in a manger, His birth fulfilled the inspired pronouncements of many prophets. He was taught from on high. He provided the life, the light, and the way. Multitudes followed Him. Children adored Him. The haughty rejected Him. He spoke in parables. He taught by example. He lived a perfect life. … To all who have lost loved ones, we would … answer: If a man die, he shall live again. We know, for we have the light of revealed truth. “I am the resurrection, and the life,” spoke the Master. “He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die” (John 11:25–26). Through tears and trials, through fears and sorrows, through the heartache and loneliness of losing loved ones, there is assurance that life is everlasting. Our Lord and Savior is the living witness that such is so.

The Buzz about Bee's

To start with dad and I were at church today and this man gave a talk who was himself a beekeeper.  It was sooo interesting I just had to blog it and better yet dad showed me a video on the life of bee's when i got home and all that they do.  It blew me away! We had a good conversation going on about bees and its like I never realized how hard they work and its all for us!!
I was so amazed at the whole thing... yes I had heard it before but for whatever reason it was like it was all new again.
So when we got home dad knew I was up in the air about bee's so he said would I like to see a video on them and how they work.  I was excited for sure,  that speaker got my attention for sure. ha.  So dad showed me this video about the life and job of the worker bee's.  So you say oh everyone knows about bee's but I say have you really ever thought deeply about why they do what they do?  Dad was so nice to explain alot to me and we went into it pretty deep.  Wow.. dad amazed me , he is so knowledgeable in alot of things and is eager to share it!  Anyway bee's are our lifeline!  How tiny they are and what they do is pretty amazing!  And they really don't want to hurt anyone deliberately. ... O my gosh, they work sooo hard for us and die in just six weeks.  All this for us so we have what we need, thats how important their job is! It is ment to be!  I could go on and on but we are kinda like the bee in some ways, we each are here doing our part while on this earth for however long we have to help each other .... we each do our work and in reality its for the good of the WHOLE....just like the worker bee's , dromes and queen bee.  They all are doing their part for the good of all.... isn't that amazing! .. think about that...course we don't die in six wks....well hope not.  ha. but we will when our work is done.   But still we do what we do everyday and in one way or another it effects others good or bad.
Wow!  Same goes in our churches, we all do what we do in our work for the church with one aim in mind , its for the whole, to bring others to Christ!  Its all for the good of the whole world in a matter of speaking.  I love this!!  I will never look at another bee without thinking of the great sacrifice they are doing in our behalf!  Its in the plan! We really don't give it much thought in our day to day lives and likely take it for granted but oh how truly amazing this planet really is !!   love,  mama

Quote's

A wise old owl sat in a tree.
The more he heard, the less he spoke,
The less he spoke, the more he heard.
Why can’t we be like that wise old bird?
