A DAY IN THE COUNTRY

Today Justin, Dawn and Donna came by the house and we went out to hit a couple garage sales. while out we stopped at Justins to see his kittens [at top] and while driving in the country we saw chickens , peacocks , a pop belly pig, and some cows. Interesting day and fun. Oh, we did hit one g. sale , plan to get a earlier start next time cause most had closed down time we got there. Country living, don't get no better than this! haha.

SHIVA and ZOEY the kittens.

Justin took a picture of our toes / which we three had near same color nail polish on plus we all were wearing flip flops. ha.

ONE MORE DAY

I like many of you enjoy a good book now and then. There are some books i can't put down once once I start reading and others I just can't get into. Last book I read was called " One More Day" and it told of how much influence this mother had on her son. As i read it I couldn't help but think what kind of influence did I have on my children as they were growing up?
Thinking back I remember my own mother and wish I could say she was there for me during my growing up years but she married very young and her marriage to my dad was not a good one. I hold no malice against her for she was very unhappy in her marriage. A bad marriage robbed her of the energy that she could have used in bonding with her children.
Back to the story I read , this man was thinking of ending his life cause he had lost his job and his family and not caring if he lived or died he has this car accident and his mother comes to him while he is near death and they walk back through time together for "One More Day" with his mom. sweet huh! They talk and he would remember that she would write little notes to him when he was young and say"I love you every day! " or
"I have a bottomless well of love for you! "
The end of the story is he lives !
He knew he was loved at his worst and at his best! unconditional love by his mom! The walk is over and the mother says he has to go on and live, and he finally takes a breath !
His last quote in the book is this:
"When death takes the word mom, it steals it forever."

What i think that statement means is, that there is only one real mom that we each have while on this earth and yes we can have people that can be like moms to us but you really can only have one TRUE MOM!

One Hard Puzzle!

This puzzle took me forever! Know it must have taken me a month with leaving it out and finding a few pieces now and then. So glad when finished and said thats enough for awhile but actually i love the challenge. Having one out and just working on it now and then when I am bored can be relaxing to me.
Its so funny, I always find a last piece on the floor it seems and Maggie doesn't even touch it. ha. All the pieces were there. I got like ten puzzles from a garage sale a few months back and the lady promise me that every piece to every puzzle was there. Wow! So far she has been right! Not sure why but I actually get excited when I place that last piece of puzzle in place where it belongs! When I finished this one, I let out a Ya Hoo! Dad just looks at me and says, "And you always think one is missing." haha. mama

Kristen and Maggie

Maggie sooo loves to see Kristen come over! Kristen generously loves cats and dogs and maggie feels that love when she comes. The other day Randy dropped by to help dad out with computer and while here Kristen decided to give Maggie a bath. Maggie loves baths so I got a couple pictures. We usually do this out in the tub in garage but Kristen wanted to do it in the bathtub. Know Maggie didn't mind it one bit!

" SEASONS OF OUR LIVES "

Winter
Spring

Summer
Fall

What we did here was to have four sister's tell about the season of their life that they are in at this time. what are some of the things they were experiencing. Had a teenager speak, mother of little toddlers , mother of growing children and last retirement age grandma. Interesting how we really all want the same things. To have are children grow up, be happy, be responsible adults and care about others and love the Lord.
Sounds pretty simple but of course there will be some ostacles along the way. But our love continues to grow through these seasons. no matter what!! Love you all, mamashap

The colors were so lovely, every table had different color table cloth.
Sister teets is the gray hair lady with Stacie.
Isabell is the one with glasses with her mother.
Sister Sage is one where her and daughter have heads together. believe we had forty show up. Of course the two Donna's were there.
