Thanksgiving at Justin's
Thanksgiving was held at Justin's home again this year. Its such a perfect setting for it! He lives in the country with all the country atmosphere and that just adds to make the day perfect! I can imagine his home setting somewhere up north in a winter wonderland with snow coming down and a warm fire glowing in the fireplace ! ha. Anyway we had a big feast and everyone had a good time. Later we took a walk around his neighborhood or should say country side to walk off the feast and fed a horse down the road some carrots. The trees were in color and it was so pretty , like a picture out of a magizine.
Those who came were Frankie with her daughter Jeanie and Justin & Dawn, Dad and I , Donna and Jason, Stacey&Steve, Todd and Heather, boys Aidan and Jayden and Val,Josh, Lindsey&Jacob. Everyone pitched in and brought food but must say that Dawn did the most to pull this together. Later that evening we had a bond fire and Justin set off fireworks. Here are a few pictures of our very nice Tks. giving day in the country. oh, almost forgot , Justin found three little kittens in the brush on his property. He is keeping two of them for they really are sooo very cute! I think it made Aiden's day perfect, he was fascinated with them!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY EVERYONE!!
Kristen
Will add more pictures of Kristen here taken through the years.
Kristen is my grandaughter, she is fourteen now and growing up so fast! I remember her as a little baby when I would rock her to sleep and keep her while her mother worked. I and dad both adored her! She was totally delightful and brought sooo much laughter and happiness into our home. Today Kristen is a energetic teenager and a pretty blonde haired girl!
Today I worry about her more than I should and that the world will pull her in and she will lose that sweet innocence and uniqueness that was Kristen. Yes its true, I am too attached to her. I suppose it goes back to the days I would keep her while her mother worked. I remember rocking, feeding her, taking her shopping with me, loving her and even re-arranging my work hours cause couldn't stand to leave her at a daycare when she cryed everyday. Her mom said she would get used to it but I could not bear it! I think I even cryed as much as she did. Dad said if you feel that strongly then go ahead and take care of her so after a few days[thinking only three days had passed}, I decided to change my hours so I could keep her full time. Up through the years she stayed with her grams and lite up our home with her delightful ways! Today I sometimes have to remind myself I am only the gramma and not the mother. Sometimes thats hard cause you don't want to see her do anything that would jeopardize her happiness now or in the future. So here is our young star, Kristen Lee! I can't express enough how much I love this young lady! Kristen, may you always make us proud and remember always that your family and your grams loves you very much !
Nothing is quite so wonderful as having a grandaughter that you adore!!

Farewell Regis
THEN [ LIVE WITH REGIS AND KATHY LEE]
& LATER [ LIVE WITH REGIS AND KELLY ]
I have watched Regis for the pass thirty yrs. Way back when Kathy Lee was his co host and I had young children at home and that was part of my morning routine. Yes, it was a big part of my day and I will miss Regis just as I missed Kathy Lee when she stepped down and Kelly took over. The old days are gone and won't be back, never will daytime mornings be the same again. I am sure many will miss Regis as much as I do. Its a new generation and times will never be the same again! So long Reg! As the saying goes, nothing can bring back the delightful hours of waking up mornings to Regis and his very special co host Kathy Lee. I stayed with him even when Kelly came along but it was never quite the same and will never match those early days of waking up to

Knock on wood / the sisters!
This cracks up Donna and I everytime we read it!
We say this will be us /Frankie, Donna and I when we get a little older!! here goes.
Three sisters, ages 92, 94, & 96 live in a house together. One night the 96 year old draws a bath. She puts her foot in and pauses. She yells to the other sister , "Was I getting in or out of the bathtub?" the 94 year old yells back, I don't know. I'll come up and see." She starts up the stairs and pauses, "Was I going up the stairs or down?" the 92 year old is stiing at the kitchen table having tea, listening to her sisters , then she shakes her head and says, "Oh my, I sure hope I never get that forgetful!" as she knocks on wood. Then she yells out to the others, "I'll come up and help both of you just as soon as I see who is at the door." haha!!

A Fun Day Out / Donna , Frankie and I.
A FUN DAY OUT!!
Donna called yesterday and said lets get up early and hit this Big Community Garage Sale down the road! We got in touch with Frankie and ask if she wanted to come along. So we all three left my place at about eleven oclock and headed out.
Being Veterans's Day there were sales all over the place. Donna and I came home with some great treasures and Frankie with one item, A Purse! thats it! ha. We laugh but we did all have a fun day. Donna got two plants, two new purses, Christmas wooden box , two pairs of shoes, and a potato masher of all things. ha ha. I got a wooden raindeer with a light up red nose, sooo cute, will post him, a small wooden country chair, 10 puzzles for one dollar, a country doll , and two girl flicks, and a Christmas wooden box also. Donna and Frankie got me the Raindeer and Chair and said its my Christmas. Great with me, I loved it! At five dollars each they got a good deal and I got two great treasures! We had so much fun and it made it even funnier that Frankie has never gone to spend a whole day garage selling before with us . I wonder if she really liked it ?? For the whole afternoon. ha ha!! I told her its our social time. ha. We went out to eat lunch at McDonald's and then Frankie treated us to a cho. smoothie at wendy's.
Ending to a perfect day!!
check out our treasures, Frankies will be posted here very soon! Well, her ONE item anyway! ha. She is not one to spend her money, pretty frugal!
The next day Donna went out and was so excited about finding these Lovely Plates!! Wow, they are Beautiful and she is so happy! Only goes to show you that it can be just a little thing that brings big Joy to a person! Donna fell in love with these plates! Wow, she is a happy camper!!

Some Holloween Pictures for your enjoyment
I enjoy all holidays! love decorating the house and doing fun things like picking out a pumpkin to carve. Had lots of" Trick or Treaters" this year but little by little the groups are getting smaller. I think it will soon be that people will just have a social party at their homes or at the various churches for the kids I think.
